Trunk – the foundation and axis of the tree
The trunk, also known as the axis, is the central part of the Christmas tree responsible for its stability and durability (labeled #1 in the photo). It is usually made of sturdy metal and serves as the skeleton to which all branches and crowns are attached.
The trunk determines the height of the tree and is key to its stability – it supports the entire weight of the tree and its decorations. A well-designed trunk ensures the tree stands firmly and looks symmetrical, significantly enhancing its overall aesthetic.

Tree levels and crowns – what do these terms mean?
Every artificial Christmas tree owes its impressive appearance to the proper arrangement of branches levels and crowns. These elements ensure the tree’s symmetry. The more tiers and denser the crowns, the more natural and fuller the tree appears.
Tree levels shape the tree structure
A tree’s levels are horizontal lines of stems with branches extending around the trunk (labeled #2 in the photo). Each level consists of several crowns (their number depends on the model) and gives the tree its characteristic shape: cone, pencil, bell, or slim. More tiers mean not only a more impressive look but also more space for holiday ornaments. At FairyTrees, we carefully design the distribution of tiers so that our trees look dense and proportional from every angle.
The tree crown – the key to density
The crown is made up of many branches attached to a central stem (labeled #3 in the photo). These numerous offshoots give the tree its density. You could say the crown is the essence of the entire tree's construction! Crowns create a layered effect, mimicking the natural arrangement of branches in a real tree.
Branches, stems and twigs – what makes up the crowns?
Branches and stems are the element of the tree's structure and define its appearance. Each part has its role – together, they create a tree that impresses with density, durability, and natural charm. Thanks to precisely crafted details, the tree not only looks beautiful but is also easy to assemble and shape.
The tree stem – the base of the structure
Every crown has a stem that supports its shape and allows for proper arrangement (labeled #4 in the photo). In FairyTrees trees, the stems are flexible yet sturdy, making it easy to shape them for the perfect branch arrangement.
The branch – a strong support for holiday decorations
The branch, also referred to as a twig, is a slim component attached to the stems (labeled #5 in the photo). It is made of thin wire and covered with PVC foil or injection-molded PE. Branches vary in length and finish, which helps achieve a more realistic look. They usually come in two versions.

Angle-cut twigs have ends cut at an angle, imitating the natural finish of real branches. Recommended for those who prefer trees with a more natural look.

Straight-cut twigs have uniform lengths, giving the tree a symmetrical appearance. Ideal for those who appreciate classic aesthetics.
Tree top and wrapping as finishing touches
Small elements of the tree, such as the top or trunk wrapping, greatly influence its final appearance. They add elegance and cohesion, making the whole tree look harmonious. Properly selected details make the tree look natural.
The tree tip - the cherry on top
The tree tip is the highest part of the Christmas tree (labeled #6 in the photo) and is often the spot for ornaments such as a star or angel. At FairyTrees, the top is consistent with the twigs on the rest of the tree. Our tips are designed to perfectly match the rest of the structure and highlight its elegant look. For transportation, the tree tip part is bent to prevent damage.
Wrapping – finish to the trunk
The PVC wrapping is a special material that covers the trunk, giving it a realistic texture reminiscent of tree bark (labeled #7 in the photo). Wrapping not only enhances the trunk's appearance but also protects it from damage, increasing the entire structure’s durability.

Tree stand – stability that matters
The stand is an essential element that not only ensures the tree’s stability but also affects its aesthetics (labeled #8 in the photo). At FairyTrees, we use stands made of solid ash wood that are robust, durable, and easy to assemble. Thanks to water-based stain impregnation, the stands are moisture-resistant and feature a beautiful brown color.

Choosing an artificial Christmas tree becomes simpler when you understand its construction and the functions of its individual components. The trunk, crowns, twigs or stand – each of these plays a key role in the tree’s appearance, durability, and functionality. FairyTrees Christmas trees are designed with attention to the smallest details, ensuring you can enjoy a beautiful and safe tree for many years to come!
